Bill Summary

This bill provides the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Division of Public Health $8,000,000 in recurring funds for 2019-20 and in 2020-21 to be used for local health departments to expand local infrastructure for activities related to preventing communicable diseases.

The bill states that $4,000,000 shall be divided equally among the local health departments and the remaining funding to local health departments based on the percentage of population served.
